EMAIL AND WEB Collage of Medicine Email Server The University of Iowa Collage of Medicine provides email and a calender system for faculty and staff. Calendars can be shared with others with varying levels of permissions. Available on Windows through Microsoft Outlook 2003 or on the web at http://mail.healthcare.uiowa.edu I-CLIC Email Server We provide email service for lab members and collaborators. Benefits include no quota and no attachment size limit. And because we uses open standards our server can be accessed by a wide variety of email clients including hand held devices such as the Treo 650. Our preferred email client is Thunderbird. Access webmail at http://mail.i-clic.uihc.uiowa.edu Web Browsing For security and convenience, such as tabbed browsing and blocking of flash ads, we recommend Firefox. Free and open source. |
